Focusing On What Matters

Hello Sunshine,

Long time no sea! As you may have noticed, I have been quiet since the last healing circle. That is because I have been on holiday with my precious family and taken time to recharge and stay connected to my most powerful healing weapon, love. When is the last time you went on a vacation or perhaps a staycation and said sea you later to work, social media, and the general day-to-day busyness?

Focusing On What Truly Matters

As a society, we consider time off a luxury that we often decide we cannot afford. Whether trying to keep up with the Joneses or break through the glass ceiling, instead of basking in the sun, we get tide down to the "shoulds" and "shouldn'ts" we impose upon ourselves.

In fact, vacations or staycations are an essential part of self-care.  When you seas the opportunity for some time off, you benefit by:

Diving deeper into your relationships

Drawing a line in the sand between your professional and personal lives

Reflecting on your thoughts and em-oceans

Riding the wave of relaxation

Floating past anxiety and chronic stress vacation

So, water you waiting for?! 

'Tis The Sea-Sun

While a winter wonderland, spring sabbatical, or fall festival all have their vacation allure, there is something special about the song, soul, and serendipity of summer. But shorely, it's not just the sunshine and surf that gives summer that "Je ne sais quoi." 

Could it be that it isn't the summer months that affect how we heal, but how we heal that enhances the season? Let's explore how our seasons journey tends to change from July to August.

Spontaneous - Gathering the family for a beach day, a weekend trip on a whim. We tend to be more free-spirited and liberated.

Unplugged – S'mores by the fire, family game night. Even during our technology-driven age, we often disconnect with the benefit of reconnecting with those who matter most.

Mindful – Admiring the sunset, stargazing, watching the river waves, the beauty of the water creates mindful moments throughout the day.

Memories – Family barbecues, camping under the stars, mindful outdoor meditations, many of us have cherished memories and continue to find time to create more.

Earthing – Barefoot in the backyard, sitting in a sun-filled park, gardening, we spend much more time connecting with nature and its grounding resonance.

Relaxing – Movie night with a friend, a cup of tea at sunrise, a nap in the shade, we cherish our time together and enjoy the more scenic route to life.

You may be starting to appre-sea-ate how you can carry the song of summer in your heart, cultivating healing, happiness, and wholeness through all the seasons.

Final thoughts

I will be accepting appointments again the last week of August.
